February 7, 2019

DFW Restaurant Week presented by Your Metroplex Cadillac Dealers proudly announces the results from its 2018 campaign, touting record-breaking results with $890,083 raised for longtime charity partners the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and Lena Pope.  This represents DFW Restaurant Week’s top annual fundraising to date, thanks to the diners, restaurants and sponsors who took part in the 21st annual campaign last August. DFW Restaurant Week is celebrating by recognizing exemplary fundraising and participation with its annual DFW Restaurant Week Star Restaurant Awards.

DFW Restaurant Week 2018 Results

Last August, more than 150 of the Metroplex’s top restaurants participated in DFW Restaurant Week, donating 20 percent of the price of each lunch or dinner to NTFB (Dallas area restaurants) and Lena Pope (Tarrant County restaurants). An additional 13 casual dining restaurants took part in the new DFW Restaurant Week Specialty Bites program, offering a custom-created menu item with 10 percent of the price donated to one of the charity partners. Of the $890,083 raised during DFW Restaurant Week – a 12 percent increase over last year -- NTFB received $639,108 and Lena Pope received $250,975 in donations. Thirty-nine restaurants participated for the first time in 2018.

“As our largest annual fundraiser, DFW Restaurant Week has enabled us to provide nearly 2 million meals to hungry North Texans from last year’s campaign alone,” said NTFB President & Chief Executive Officer Trisha Cunningham. “It’s a terrific feeling for supporters to know that dining out is also providing nourishing meals for others in need. We are incredibly grateful to the restaurants and diners for their loyal support through DFW Restaurant Week.”
